Wellsite Geology and wellsite consultancy

Geodata Evaluation and Drilling Limited has extensive experience in the delivery of consulting services targeted at supporting our clients in Exploration, Drilling and Development in the Oil and Gas industry. We supply highly experience Wellsite geologist, Drilling Supervisors, Mud Engineers and Directional drillers who are competent to deliver quality services in your upcoming Oil well drilling and completion or work-over projects. Our highly experience Wellsite geologist involved in wellsite geology supervision:

  • Study and description of rock cuttings obtain from the well and determine actual formation tops by comparing data gathered during drilling with geology prognosis.
  • Advice and assist in decision making pertaining to drilling operation.
  • Coordinate with drilling team, MWD/LWD and Mudloggers throughout the entire drilling operation.
  • Prepare daily, final well report and produce information whenever required.
  • Supervision of formation evaluation contractors and all other wellsite geology activities.
  • Mudlogging Services

A mud logging technician obtain rock cuttings circulated to the surface in drilling mud, analyze and describe the cutting to identify down hole lithology with respect to depth. Monitors natural gas levels(types) entering the wellbore with gas monitoring equipment and notify other personnel on the rig when gas levels may be reaching dangerous levels, so appropriate steps can be taken to avoid a dangerous well kick, blowout condition and determines positions of hydrocarbons with respect to depth.

Mud loggers connect various sensors to the drilling Rig and install specialized equipment to monitor or (log) drill activity and interpret indicators in the mud returns during the drilling process, and at regular intervals log properties such as drilling rate, mud weight, mud pit levels, flowline temperature, oil indicators, pump pressure, pump rate, lithology (rock type) of the drilled cuttings, and other data. Much of the equipment will require precise calibration or alignment by the mud logger to provide accurate readings. Mud loggers organize all these information in the form of a graphic log, showing the data charted as a representation of the wellbore.

Drilling waste Management - Solid control services

SOLID CONTROL IN OIL WELL DRILLING

Solids control is a technique used in the drilling rigs to separate the solids or rock cuttings by the drill bits that are brought to the well surface by circulating drilling mud. When unwanted solids are efficiently removed from the circulation system, the fluids in the wells are of highest quality and predetermined specification. Efficient Solids Control results into less replacement of fluids, less waste and few additives that are needed to be removed and disposed there by cutting the cost of the drilling mud. This also significantly decreases the risk of down hole related problems due to excessive solid contents in the drilling fluid.

GEODATA EVALUATION DRILLING Limited drilling waste management services utilized high standard and functional GN Decanter Centrifuge for separation of solids and fluid in the drum equipment component. The high-speed rotating drum drive drilling mud to rotate speedily and then the mud is thrown onto drum’s surface to form a fluid circle. Under the centrifugal force, solid sedimentary force in the separated liquid will be several hundred even thousands of times heavier than its own gravity so as to separate the solids from the suspension quickly. The ratio of centrifugal force which the solids have gained and the solid gravity are called separating factor. The larger the centrifugal force, the finer the separated solids. GN Decanter Centrifuge removes solid phase from drilling mud and recover weighting materials such as barite, etc. so as to reduce the general cost of drilling mud fluid. .

GEODATA EVALUATION DRILLING LTD Drilling waste management services utilized high standard and functional GNCD930 Vertical Cuttings Dryer that uses centrifugal force to dry drilled solids in oil or synthetic base fluids. A stainless steel screen bowl traps “wet” solids and accelerates them up to 900RPM. Liquid is forced through the screen bowl openings, while “dry” solids are extracted by the angled flights attached to the cone, which rotate slightly slower than the bowl. Tungsten carbide protects the flights from abrasive solids and ensures long operational life. This aids in maintaining a constant gap between the scroll and screen bowl, which is crucial for proper operation. GNCD930 Vertical Cuttings Dryer remove particles below 3mm and reduce the liquid content in cuttings with oil base mud/synthetic base mud up to 3-5% OOC(Oil on Cuttings) to make the discharged cuttings comply with the requirement of environment protection; recover the valuable drilling mud and lower down the drilling mud cost.
